Founder & Chair Trustee

Scott Spowage

As an adult survivor of childhood abuse and trauma, I know first hand the daily struggles that fellow survivors go through just to survive. That’s why I started this charity, to provide a much needed space within the Forth Valley area that specialises in assisting all people who have suffered as a result of childhood abuse for FREE, whether it’s been physical, sexual, emotional abuse, neglect or abandonment. We are here for you!

Trustee

Dr Pete Connick

I have 12 years experience as a consultant neurologist, including 4 years as Lead Clinician in NHS Forth Valley for Functional Neurological Disorders. This represents a population of people with neuropsychiatric presentations (physical and psychological illnesses) where the major risk factor is adverse childhood experiences. My role therefore includes extensive patient facing and clinical care experience, alongside leadership for integration across relevant NHS services: psychiatry, psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, and others. This experience has put me face-to-face with the adult consequences and state-services available to support victims of childhood abuse. The privilege granted through hearing my patient’s stories has also given me the passion to work in support at all stages of their journey to recovery.
