Our recovery pathway model

  1. Assessment & Individualised Plan: Conduct thorough assessments to understand the specific traumas experienced by each individual. Begin to develop a personalised recovery plan based on the unique needs, strengths and goals of survivors.

  2. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based interventions such as trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to name but a few techniques.

  3. Psychoeducation: Educate survivors about the impact of childhood abuse and trauma on mental health and wellbeing. Provide resources and information to increase awareness and understanding of trauma related issues.

  4. Support Groups and Peer Mentorship: Facilitate support groups where survivors share their experiences, gain insights and receive support from others who have faced similar challenges.

  5. Mindfulness and Stress Reduction: Introduce mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help survivors manage stress and regulate emotions. This may also include creative therapies.

  6. Life Skills Training & Safety Planning: Equip survivors with practical life skills to enhance their independence and resilience. Develop strategies for managing and preventing crises. All clients will have access to crisis intervention resources and a personalised safety plan.

  7. Community Integration: We will facilitate connections with the local community resources including educational and vocational support whilst encouraging participation in community activities to promote social integration and a sense of purpose.

  8. Continuous Evaluation: Together we will regularly assess your progress and modify the plan as needed. We will stay attuned to your evolving needs and adapt the interventions accordingly.

  9. Advocacy and Awareness: We advocate for policies and practices that support survivors of childhood abuse and trauma and will continue our mission to raise awareness about the long-term effects of childhood trauma to reduce stigma and encourage early intervention.
