Do you identify with the LGBTQIA+ community?

Here at SRFCA we understand that many adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s) are encountered by the LGBTQIA+ community, we welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people, and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

We also welcome those questioning their sexuality or gender identity, as well as those who do not use labels, and we provide a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental environment. Mental health is important to everyone and please note you do not need a diagnosis of mental health to self-refer for access to our therapists. Some of our therapists are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and are trained around these identities and issues.

You can work through experiences relating to your sexual or identity without fear or discrimination or questioning. Alternatively, you might want to focus on other areas of your life without being subjected to inappropriate curiosity or incorrect assumptions regarding your sexuality or gender identity. Talking with a therapist who will listen, and support can help you to understand more about what you are experiencing and the reasons for seeking therapy. Counselling with regards to the LGBTQIA+ community can help with a whole range of issues, including but not limited to:

Relationship issues; gender or sexual identity issues; self-confidence and self-esteem; abuse and bullying; coming out; depression and anxiety; sexual issues; isolation.
